CAMH has a variety of experts available to media for comment on treatment, research, education and public policy issues concerning mental health. CAMH Media Relations coordinates all inquiries from journalists and will respond in a timely manner. We can be reached by email or by phone 416 595-6015, and we will connect you with the most appropriate spokesperson.

Members of the media can also find timely and accurate information about CAMH and facts and statistics on mental illness including addictions, including who is affected and the impact on Canadians.
Respecting Patient Confidentiality
As a publicly funded psychiatric hospital, it is crucial that CAMH works with the media to ensure that the privacy rights of our patients are protected.
For this reason we have strict protocols for all news gathering while on CAMH property, including guidelines for interviewing patients and employees and taking photographs.
No media cameras are allowed on site without prior approval from CAMH Media Relations.
No patients can be photographed or filmed without written consent from the patient facilitated by CAMH.
While on CAMH property, a staff person or designate must escort members of the media at all times.
